Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a man named Tom. Tom was a blind [1] man who made candles [2] for a living. Even though he could not see, he had a talent for making the most beautiful and long-lasting candles [2] in the village.

One day, a rich shareholder [3] named Mr. Smith came to the village. He owned many businesses, but he was always looking for new opportunities to grow his wealth. When he learned about Tom’s candles [2], he was interested. Mr. Smith knew that people loved candles [2] and that they would pay a good price [4] for quality ones.

That night, as the moon [5] shone brightly in the sky, Mr. Smith knocked [6] on Tom’s door. Tom opened it and welcomed him in. Mr. Smith told Tom that he wanted to buy his candles [2] shop and make Tom a partner in his business. Tom was surprised but also excited about the idea of having a partner who could help him sell more candles [2].

Before they agreed on anything, Tom asked Mr. Smith about the transcript [7] of their discussion. Tom wanted every word they said to be written down clearly, so there would be no misunderstandings later on. Mr. Smith agreed, and they found someone to write the transcript [7] of their agreement.

The next day, Mr. Smith came back to weigh [8] Tom’s candles [2]. He wanted to buy a ton [9] of them to sell in the city. Tom was very happy because a ton [9] was more candles [2] than he had ever sold at one time.

After Mr. Smith left, Tom lit a candle [2] and sat thinking. He was conscious [10] of the big step he had taken. He hoped that the partnership would be good for both of them. As he thought about his future, he became more and more excited.

In the city, Mr. Smith was busy too. He stopped selling tobacco [11], which he had done for many years. Instead, he focused on selling Tom’s candles [2]. Many people came to buy the candles [2] because they were the best.

Everyone in the village applauded [12] Tom for his success. He felt proud that even though he was blind [1], he had made something so beautiful that people from far away wanted to buy it.

And so, Tom and Mr. Smith became very successful. They sold candles [2] all over the country. The price [4] was fair, and the quality was excellent. Thanks to the transcripts [7], their agreement was always clear, and they never had any trouble.

In time, Tom became known as the Candle [2] Maker of the Moon [5], for his candles [2] seemed to hold the gentle glow of the moon’s [5] light. His success showed everyone in the village that being blind [1] did not mean you couldn’t have a bright future.
