Once in a small village far [1] away, there lived a chief [2] named Tom. Chief [2] Tom was known for his fairness [3] and was very active [4] in taking care of his village. One day, a big problem occurred [5] in the village. The bridge that connected the village to the nearby town had a huge gap [6] in it because of a recent storm.

The villagers were very worried because they used the bridge to go to town for food and other needs. Seeing this, Chief [2] Tom decided he needed to fix the bridge quickly. He called a meeting at the village square where everyone could hear [7] his plan.

At the meeting, Chief [2] Tom said, “We need to work together to fix the bridge. It is important for our safety and our daily life.” His words had a strong appeal [8] to all the villagers as they all wanted to go back to their normal days where they could safely travel to town.

The next day, a group of villagers led by Chief [2] Tom started the work on the bridge. They brought wood, ropes, and tools to start the repair. Tom was very active [4], helping everyone and making sure everything was done right.

While repairing the bridge, they found other problems like structural [9] weaknesses in the bridge’s design. The villagers discussed and shared their ideas on how to make the bridge stronger than before. A young man, who had just come back from a big city, suggested using new techniques he had learned about in a book.

Chief Tom was impressed by the young man’s knowledge and decided to post [10] this information on the village notice board. This way, everyone could learn about these new and better ways to build things. The chief [2] felt it was important to keep learning and improving.

After several days of hard work, the bridge was finally fixed. It was now even stronger and better than before. Chief [2] Tom decided to hold a celebration for the success of their hard work. During the celebration, he spoke about the importance of working together and learning new things. He thanked the villagers for their hard work and especially praised the young man for his new ideas, which he called “premier [11] knowledge.”

Chief [2] Tom also announced that he would start publishing [12] a small monthly newsletter for the village. This newsletter would include news about what was happening in the village and any useful knowledge for daily living. He hoped that by publishing [12] this newsletter, all villagers would stay informed and could learn from each other.

The village continued to thrive and everyone appreciated the chief’s efforts to keep the village safe and informed. Chief [2] Tom was happy to see his village prosper and felt proud of bringing the community together. He always believed that fairness [3] and cooperation were the keys to a happy village.

And so, Chief [2] Tom and his villagers lived many years filled with joy, always learning and helping each other, bridging any gaps [6] that came their way with unity and strength.
